Abercrombie & Fitch model Chaise Mooty talks about his career

Back in 2004, Texarkana High School senior Chaise Mooty won the Fashion!Dallas/Kim Dawson Model Search. A few months later, he was in an Abercrombie & Fitch ad plastered across a building in New York – and, no doubt, more than a few teenagers' bedrooms.

Four years later, the Southern Methodist University junior has appeared in ads for Benetton and Guess as well as showing up in the pages of Details, GQ and L'Uomo Vogue. The finance major is now spending the summer working in New York, and we caught up with him before he took off for the Adirondacks to shoot a campaign for American Eagle Outfitters.

Neiman Marcus' same-store sales fall as luxury market takes a hit

Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus said its same-store sales fell 2.4 percent in June.

The Dallas-based retailer’s clientele is much more sensitive to declines in the stock market, than to gasoline or food prices, and wealth certainly took a hit last month.

Declines in the stock market and layoffs in the high-paying finance sector are starting to have an effect on the company’s results. Neiman Marcus has reported declines in same-store sales in three out of the last six months.
